Our eight network companies operate electricity grids with a total length of 455,000 kilometres and a gas network of 65,000 kilometres. In this way they transport energy directly and reliably to about nine million people in large parts of Germany. E.ON Netz creates the connection between the European electricity transport grid and the regional energy providers' grids with its almost 22,000 kilometre long high voltage grid. In the regions, seven E.ON distribution grid operators are also the partners of many municipalities. Beyond purely grid services they also offer services from street lighting up to the water and waste water business.
