E.ON Energie, with its headquarters in Munich, leads the Regional Unit Germany. From there the oporational business within the areas net, sales and service is managed. The core tasks of this unit are the distribution and the sale of electricity and gas as well as the decentralized generation in Germany. 

Furthermore, it is an important partner of the Global Units, for which it provides many local support functions such as finance or personnel management.
E.ON Energie and its subsidiaries employ around 30,700 people in total and train 2,150 apprentices as qualified skilled workers.
